The brooch is claw set with seven Old Mine cut diamonds arranged elegantly across the centre. The gemstones are framed by an intricate openwork double rope-twist border, creating an attractive combination of texture, depth and classical-inspired ornamentation. The seven diamonds have a combined estimated weight of approximately 0.29 carat and display an attractive bright and fiery appearance. Marked 15ct, the brooch is crafted in yellow gold and has a substantial weight of approximately 6.5 grams. The gold pin is secured by a traditional C-clasp, which remains in good working order, and the piece retains its rolled-gold safety chain. Presented in very good antique condition with only minor age-related surface marks.
