The composition creates an impressive visual presence while retaining the refinement and intricacy characteristic of Chinese porcelain painting. The generous scale makes this an especially striking decorative piece, suitable for display as a focal point within a sophisticated interior or as part of a collection of Chinese porcelain and Asian works of art. The combination of hand-painted decoration, substantial proportions and Republic-period manufacture gives the panel considerable decorative and collectible appeal. Pieces of this scale work particularly well within both traditional and contemporary interiors, where the detailed porcelain painting can be appreciated as a work of art in its own right. Presented in good antique condition with general age-related wear consistent with its period.
