The spoon … Read more A fine Edwardian sterling silver preserve spoon dating to 1902, displaying elegant decorative craftsmanship characteristic of the period. The spoon is finely hand engraved with scrolling ornament and delicate floral motifs, creating an attractive decorative surface while retaining the practical proportions traditionally associated with preserve and jam spoons. Fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1902. The hallmarks show some age-related rubbing but remain legible. Crafted entirely from sterling silver, the spoon has a net silver weight of approximately 27.3 grams. Presented in very good antique condition with no noted bruises, damage or repairs. An attractive example of Edwardian English silverware, suitable for serving preserves, jams and condiments or for decorative display.
