The large frosted and cut glass shade displays the bold geometric moulding associated with gueron's art deco production, with deeply worked decorative patterns creating an impressive interplay of texture and light. Four original bronzed chains suspend the shade from individual cushioned bronze anchor points, each retaining its original s-shaped connecting ring. The arrangement culminates in a large four-way bronze ceiling plate with central cable lock, giving the fixture a balanced architectural appearance. Unusually, the plafonnier incorporates four individually wired b15 brass bulb holders positioned at the anchor points, providing generous illumination across the broad glass shade. The fixture has been professionally restored and rewired using period-appropriate celluloid-coated two-core twisted cable, tested and described as being in full working order.
