The sculptural composition depicts an elongated female figure in stylised period dress, modelled in chrome-plated metal with a brilliant mirror-polished finish. Standing upon a stepped architectural plinth, the figure raises one arm overhead to support the light, creating the dramatic silhouette characteristic of 1920s and 1930s figural lighting. Above the figure sits a large hand-moulded textured art-glass globe, supported upon a shallow dish-form gallery. When illuminated, the textured glass softly diffuses the light while providing a striking visual contrast against the highly reflective chrome sculpture. The combination of geometric base, elegant female figure and oversized spherical shade gives the lamp a particularly strong Art Deco profile, making it equally compelling as a decorative sculpture when switched off. Professionally rewired and tested and reported to be in full working order.
