The long rectangular top is crafted in warm teak and displays attractive natural grain throughout. Gently rounded corners and subtly shaped edges soften the table’s clean architectural form, while the slender tapered legs create the light, elegant profile characteristic of Scandinavian furniture from this period. Beneath the tabletop is an integrated open-weave rattan magazine shelf, providing practical storage for books, magazines and newspapers while introducing an attractive contrast of texture and colour against the darker teak. This combination of natural materials is particularly characteristic of Danish Modern design, where functionality and visual simplicity were carefully balanced. At 140 cm wide, the table has a substantial presence while retaining an elegant low profile, making it particularly suitable for positioning in front of a large sofa or within a spacious seating arrangement. Presented in very good vintage condition with light age-related wear and natural variations to the timber and rattan consistent with its age and use. The structure remains solid and the teak retains a rich, warm appearance.
