The table features a single drawer to the front, providing convenient storage for smaller household items while maintaining the clean and well-balanced appearance of the piece. The drawer retains its original brass handle, preserving the established character of the table and providing an attractive contrast against the warm tones of the oak. The table stands on elegant turned legs, united by a substantial supporting stretcher that provides additional strength and stability while contributing to its traditional character. Throughout, the oak displays gorgeous natural grain, rich warm colouring and attractive tonal variation, giving the piece considerable warmth and visual appeal. Its compact proportions make this an especially versatile table. Measuring only 61 cm wide and 32 cm deep, it could be positioned comfortably alongside a sofa or armchair, beside a bed, or within a hallway, study or living room. The combination of practical drawer storage, original brass hardware, turned supports and richly coloured oak creates an attractive balance between functionality and traditional design. Presented in good vintage condition, with appropriate signs of age and historic use consistent with its 20th-century origin. A highly desirable small oak side table combining beautiful natural grain, a useful drawer, original brass handle, elegant turned legs and a sturdy stretcher within a compact and timeless design.
