The upper section features a pair of glazed doors opening to reveal two adjustable shelves, creating three versatile display levels for books, ceramics, glassware, collectibles and other treasured objects. The adjustable shelving allows the interior to accommodate objects of varying heights, while the glazed doors provide an attractive means of displaying and protecting the contents. The cabinet also retains its original key. Below, the traditional fall-front bureau opens to reveal a beautifully fitted interior arranged with a selection of small drawers and pigeonholes, providing organised storage for stationery, correspondence, documents and writing accessories. When lowered, the fall-front creates a practical writing surface positioned at a comfortable desk height of 73 cm, allowing the piece to function as both an impressive bookcase and a useful writing desk. Beneath the bureau are three generously proportioned drawers, providing substantial additional storage.
