The substantial hardstone is collet set within a warm yellow gold mount and surrounded by a decorative gadrooned border. The moss agate displays the distinctive natural inclusions and organic patterning for which this attractive variety of chalcedony is prized, ensuring the stone has a unique character. Fully hallmarked for London 1989 and crafted in 9ct yellow gold, the brooch has a substantial gross weight of approximately 12.3 grams. Presented in very good vintage condition with no noted damage, gemstone chips or repairs. The traditional C-catch remains in good working order. Clean and ready to wear.
