The rectangular tabletop is centred by a magnificent peacock displaying its fully fanned tail, flanked by two additional peacocks and surrounded by stylised foliage and botanical motifs. The central scene is enclosed within an oval decorative frame, while multiple outer borders of scrolling leaves, geometric patterns and repeating foliate ornamentation create an exceptionally rich and detailed surface. The finely executed peacock imagery is particularly impressive, with individual feathers, plumage and surrounding vegetation carefully articulated through the contrasting inlay. Against the warm reddish-brown tones and natural grain of the rosewood, the pale decoration creates a dramatic and highly decorative effect. It would make an impressive coffee table, occasional table or statement piece within a traditional, eclectic or globally inspired interior. Material: Indian rosewood with decorative white inlay.
