Large Murano Glass Poliedri Wall Sconces, Set of 2, 1980s Italian Vintage
A striking pair of large Italian Murano glass wall sconces dating from the 1980s, featuring sculptural geometric Poliedri elements in a beautiful combination of clear glass and delicate pink hues.
Each wall light comprises 36 individual Murano glass elements arranged in a dramatic cascading composition. The faceted polygonal shapes create a distinctive architectural effect, reflecting and refracting light beautifully while adding texture and depth to the design.
The glass elements are mounted on original white-painted metal frames with projecting arms and brass-tone details. Their bold geometric silhouette and contrasting materials make them characteristic of the expressive Italian lighting design of the 1980s.
Original design and configuration: The Murano glass Poliedri elements are arranged exclusively across the front of each sconce. The sides of the white metal frames are intentionally left uncovered and do not have additional glass elements.
