A stunning, monumental pair of modern revival wall sconces, heavily inspired by mid-century Italian Murano and AV Mazzega designs. They weigh a substantial 7 lbs each and have a dramatic shield-form. They feature thick, high-quality art glass with an organic, wavy profile that casts a beautiful, ambient glow. The glass has rows of pillow-y air-trapped bubbles reminiscent of the classic Italian Bullicante technique, catching the light perfectly. The glass backs are finished with a rough, granular Frit/Graniglia coating (ground glass) that masterfully diffuses the bulb, softening hot spots and radiating an even, elegant light. Mounted on sturdy white metal brackets. Hard wired for up to 100W type A bulbs. In excellent preowned condition. No chips, cracks, flea bites or repairs. Minimal period wear consistent with age and use.
