The Blue Moon took place at the end of May, its name referring to the unusual occurrence of a second full moon in a single month.

I scout these moonrises in person, then work from memory and reference back in the studio to capture the color and mood of that particular night. I climbed down onto the rocks of the riverbank to observe this moon coming over the hills and shining onto the water.

8 x 10" paintings are my favorite size- they lend themselves to being incorporated into a gallery wall, or hung on their own for a more intimate moment. This one-of-a-kind original would make a striking addition to any room, or a thoughtful gift for an April birthday.

About my work:
I'm a visual artist with a BFA from Laguna College of Art & Design, where I majored in drawing and painting, working primarily from life and the nude figure. My work is inspired by nature, my everyday surroundings, and a collection of old photographs. I show in galleries and exhibitions in addition to selling directly from my studio.
