This is a striking, cylindrical porcelain brush pot (bitong) featuring a vibrant, emerald green glaze. The vessel is crafted with an intricate pierced (reticulated) design, with the outer wall pierced in a geometric and floral pattern of scrolling vines and blossoms.
The hollow, double-walled construction allows light to shine through beautifully, making it a stunning decorative piece or a unique luminary/candle holder. The piece is finished with a solid green glazed rim and base. Traditionally used by scholars to hold calligraphy brushes, this eye-catching piece brings a touch of elegance and vibrant color to any desk, shelf, or tabletop display.
