The carving runs edge to edge - no flat borders - which gives the case the texture of woven straw at a distance and reveals the carving up close.

The wood takes the tan finish evenly, warm without going orange. Behind the doors, two shelves divide 79 inches of enclosed storage into practical bays for table linens, servingware, or media equipment, all at a usable 19-inch depth.

It sits comfortably behind a dining table or along a wide hallway wall. The texture does the decorating here - keep the styling above it simple and let the doors carry the room. See less
