A truly spectacular and commanding find, this listing is for a matching Pair of massive Vintage Cloisonné Enamel Vases. Standing an impressive 33 cm (13 inches) tall, 20 cm in diameter, and weighing a hefty 6.4 kg (over 14 lbs) for the pair, these are heavyweight statement pieces with a museum-quality presence.
The vases feature a vibrant turquoise (light blue) enamel background, densely and beautifully decorated with intricate scrolling lotus vines, large stylized blue and white lotus blossoms, and colorful floral motifs in red, yellow, and green. The flared rims and bases are finished in a rich, gilded metal that offers a stunning contrast to the bright enamel. The classic "melon" or baluster shape, with its wide belly and slender neck, makes a grand architectural statement.
These magnificent vases are perfect for anchoring a large fireplace, flanking a formal entryway, or acting as the ultimate centerpiece on a grand dining table.
