A monumental and highly decorative matching pair of vintage Chinese hexagonal porcelain temple jars. Featuring an elegant faceted baluster silhouette, each lidded urn is finished in a serene pale celadon green glaze that serves as a beautiful backdrop for elaborate multi-colored enamel ornamentation.
The vases are heavily detailed with distinctive three-dimensional, applied high-relief porcelain motifs representing the traditional "Hundred Antiques" (Bo Gu) or auspicious scholar's objects—including stylized tables, vases, and cultural treasures. These vibrant sculptural elements are interspersed with finely painted polychrome butterflies and trailing seasonal blooms in the classic Famille Rose palette. Each jar includes its original matching hexagonal tiered cover surmounted by a prominently molded turquoise and iron-red Foo Dog (guardian lion) finial. Stately, grand-scale statement pieces perfect for flanking a fireplace mantle, styling a buffet sideboard, or serving as centerpiece urns.
