Beautiful antique Weller Muskota “Leda and the Swan” figural flower frog, featuring a graceful seated nude woman accompanied by a swan with elegantly outstretched wings.
This distinctive American art pottery piece features a soft ivory crackle-glazed finish, delicate peach-toned hair, and a beautifully mottled base in earthy shades of green, tan, and terracotta.
The sculptural design combines classical mythology with the artistry of early 20th-century American pottery. Multiple openings surrounding the base were designed to hold flower stems, allowing the piece to function as both a decorative sculpture and a floral centerpiece.
