All our rugs are cleaned in a professional rug laundry. The first step in the cleaning process is to thoroughly knock out the rug to remove dust and any mites. The subsequent pre-wash with a PH-neutral soap removes stains. During the main wash, the rug is washed wet through and through by hand - a special soap is gentle on the fibres and preserves the rug's natural wool grease. An initial dewatering is carried out by machine pressing and spinning, after which the rugs are hung to dry with permanent circulating air. See less
