A Japanese fumidai with clean lines and the warmth of beautifully aged wood.
Dimensions: height 35.5 cm, width 60 cm, depth 25.5 cm.
Originally used as a step stool to reach higher places, it has a wide top and gently angled sides that give it a balanced, minimal form. The visible grain and deep brown patina lend warmth to its simple design.
Today it makes a lovely display stand for a plant, an ikebana arrangement or a few small objects. On its own, it brings a quiet touch of wood to a contemporary minimalist interior.
In lovely vintage condition, with normal wear and small signs of use consistent with age.
