All our rugs are cleaned in a professional rug laundry. The first step of cleaning consists of thorough beating of the rug to remove dust and mites, if any. The subsequent pre-wash with a PH neutral soap removes stains. During the main wash, the rug is washed by hand through and through wet - a special soap is gentle on the fibers and preserves the rug's natural wool grease. Machine pressing and spinning are used for initial dewatering, after which the rugs are left to hang dry in permanent circulating air. See less
