The curved back sweeps in a single, fluid line, carved from walnut and shaped to draw you in — a rounded embrace rather than a rigid frame. The rolled arms curl forward with an easy gesture, each one anchored by a small roundel that gives the piece its subtle sense of ceremony.

The seat is upholstered in a worn red striped fabric that suits the chair’s age and lends it a lived-in warmth. Brass nailhead trim traces the lower edge in a clean, tailored line. Below, square tapering legs on brass casters give the chair a light, mobile quality, the kind of practicality that allows it to move effortlessly between roles: at a writing desk, beside a window, or pulled up near a low table.

It’s the kind of Biedermeier piece that brings softness to a room without demanding attention — a sculptural shape in warm walnut that feels both quietly historic and entirely at ease in a modern interior. The seat height is 19.5 inches, making it comfortable for everyday use while maintaining its graceful proportions. See less
