This exceptional piece represents the height of early 20th-century decorative weaving, crafted in a generous room size format ideal for anchoring a formal living space or grand dining area.

The composition is defined by a serene, expansive ivory field which allows the decorative elements to float elegantly. This luminous neutral ground provides a striking contrast to the saturated indigo and powder blue tones used in the borders and central medallion, a hallmark of the sophisticated color palettes popular during this era.

Characteristic of the period's refined aesthetic, the design employs a minimal central motif—a stylized floral medallion—balanced by intricate corner spandrels. The triple border system features delicate floral sprays and subtle geometric cloud bands, demonstrating precise execution and artistic restraint.

Woven with high-quality wool, this rug retains a soft patina commensurate with its age, offering both durability and visual warmth. It is a superb example of the decorative antique rugs that define the transition from traditional Eastern weaving to modern Western sensibilities. See less
