The expansive top panel features a smooth fruitwood surface with a warm, medium-brown finish. The dresser's sides showcase dramatically figured burl wood panels inset within molded borders, creating a striking contrast with the structural fluted corner posts that feature beaded ring accents. The piece is supported by robust, tapered round arrow legs adorned with crisp vertical fluting and a ring of intricately carved acanthus leaves wrapping around the upper collars.

The front of the dresser is composed of six deep, wide dovetailed drawer fronts heavily decorated with continuous, high-relief foliage and floral scrollwork framed by a classic beaded border. Each drawer is outfitted with its original ornate, embossed brass medallion pulls and a central decorative keyhole escutcheon.
