This is a striking and substantial pair of matching candle holders, featuring a distinctive "Dragon Pillar" design. Crafted from cast metal with a rich, gilded bronze finish, each piece features a large, open lotus-form cup at the top, supported by a central column intricately detailed with a coiling, scaled dragon amidst swirling clouds.
The columns rest on a double-lotus base, which is mounted on a wider, circular plinth decorated with additional, high-relief dragon and cloud motifs. The pieces have a warm, aged patina, with some darker areas in the deeper crevices that enhance the sculptural details.
On the flat, dark metal underside of each base, there is a recessed circular seal containing four characters. These heavy, eye-catching pieces serve as stunning decorative accents for a mantel, dining table, or collector's display.
