This is a striking and elegant pair of matching black lacquer vases. Crafted from a wood core and finished with a deep, glossy black lacquer, the vases feature an elongated, pear-shaped body with a flared rim and base.
The surfaces are beautifully decorated with intricate, gilded (gold-painted) motifs. The primary design features trailing grapevines with detailed leaves and clusters of grapes, interspersed with stylized butterflies and small floral accents. The vases also feature large, stylized gilded characters, likely representing longevity or good fortune. The high-gloss finish gives the pieces a rich, sophisticated look.
On the flat, black underside of each vase, there is a recessed square seal containing four gilded characters. These eye-catching pieces serve as stunning decorative accents for a mantel, shelf, or collector's display.

The gilded motifs are clear and bright, with some minor wear typical of aged pieces. The recessed seals on the bases are clear. The structural integrity of both vases is solid.
