A newly refinished 1950s mid century modern exoskeletal walnut highboy chest of drawers with brass hardware by Mount Airy Furniture Company.
The case is suspended within a framework of tapered legs, with five drawers above and a larger drawer suspended below. The beveled edge around the top provides a visual accent that matches the geometry of the legs.
The dresser has been expertly refinished and shows like-new, with only the slightest traces of prior use detectable on close inspection. The brass is in original condition with 70+ years of patina.
The dresser is unmarked. The attribution to Mount Airy is by industry consensus.
