Formed in two pieces with a vertical joining seam and held tightly by a rear-mounting single-slotted steel screw. Features a top coin slot integrated behind the owl's ruffed crown and detailed feather casting resting on a textured log base. Retains a cold-painted gold wash finish with hand-painted multi-color eye detailing. Cataloged in Andy & Susan Moore's The Penny Bank Book (Page 90, Entry #599).

Curator’s Note: An exceptionally sculptural early 20th-century cast iron desktop accent. Featuring crisp feather casting, graphic multi-colored eyes, and a rich original gilded patina, this antique owl bank serves as a sophisticated paperweight or mantle display piece.
