This studio art glass Hanukkah menorah features a sculptural, dreidel-shaped main panel crafted from heavy fused and slumped glass. The center panel displays a vibrant iridized blue-purple and turquoise finish with etched organic contour lines and four central pentagonal dreidel motifs, each containing a Hebrew letter corresponding to the traditional dreidel faces: Nun (נ), Gimel (ג), Hei (ה), and Shin (ש) (Nes Gadol Hayah Sham — "A great miracle happened there").
The base and upper candle-bearing bar are formed from thick, ice-like clear chiseled glass with raw, faceted edges. The top bar is fitted with nine brass candle cups arranged with eight main lights in a line and an elevated Shamash (servant candle) set on a raised tier at the left. The base bears a hand-engraved artist signature reading "Uda" directly in the glass surface, referencing Israel-born studio glass artist Yehuda Parmat (professionally known as Yehuda Parnat / Uda).
Historical Provenance & Design Significance: Representing the celebrated studio glass oeuvre of Israeli-born artist Yehuda Parmat (Uda), this sculptural menorah fuses traditional ceremonial requirements with bold late-20th-century glass art techniques. Featuring a raw, ice-like chiseled base and a fused central plaque with iridized blue-turquoise surfacing, the piece renders the dreidel (Sevivon) into a striking geometric composition.
Curator's Note: A commanding studio glass sculpture by listed artist Yehuda Parmat (Uda). The interplay of light across the iridescent glass panel and heavily faceted base creates an architectural centerpiece that serves as exceptional fine Judaica during Hanukkah and a compelling art glass statement year-round.

Authenticity Assessment
The piece displays verified characteristics of Judaica studio glass by Yehuda Parmat (Uda). Authentic studio markers visible under physical examination include:
Glass Construction & Edging: Signature hand-chiseled and diamond-ground cold working along the clear base and candle rail, showing intentional textural variation rather than smooth mold seams.
Surface Work: Fine hand-etched silver/gold line-work defining the dreidel shapes and Hebrew letters within the iridized surface.
Hardware Integration: Solid brass cups set directly into ground glass sockets using clear structural adhesive, showing original aged brass patination.
Signature: Diamond-scribe hand-engraved cursive signature reading "Uda" directly on the glass surface.

The fused glass structure is structurally sound with no cracks or repaired breaks. Small chips or irregularities along the thick, chiseled glass edges of the base and upper rail are integral to the artist's original cold-working and hand-chiseled aesthetic. Brass candle cups show minor wax residue and light, original patination inside the sockets consistent with gentle ceremonial use. The hand-etched signature "Uda" remains clear and fully intact on the top surface of the glass base. less
