A 19th-Century Chinese Export lacquered games box and tray. It is handcrafted of papier-mâché and beautifully hand inlaid with mother-of-pearl and abalone shell. The bone gaming counters are used for games such as bezique, piquet, poker, whist, quadrille, and spinado This lovely piece is also perfect used as a vanity tray catch-all or for a desk organizer. It's a rare find!
There are 18 round, 22 shorter rectangular, and 16 long rectangular bone counters.
Dimensions: Tray is 9.25"L x 7"W and 2.25"H with the boxes. The boxes each measure 3.5"L x 2.5"w x 2"H.
