The basket’s rim is crowned by a row of tall, looping scrolls that curl like tendrils, while the sides are formed from crisscrossed wire in a diamond lattice that reads almost like lacework. A shallow wire floor holds a pot or liner. Below, the four slim legs are joined by flowing S-curves, spirals, and graceful arcs, with small wrapped bindings at the joints that add handcrafted detail. A pair of looped stretchers crosses near the base and steadies the frame, and the legs end in small, outward-curving feet.
