A sculptural bookcase defined by the rhythmic interplay of solid wengé slats and slender vertical supports. Its distinctive stepped construction, tapering towards the top, gives the piece an almost totemic presence. Both a functional piece of furniture and an architectural object. As we have been unable to find any documentation or comparable examples, this may well be a one-of-a-kind piece, reminiscent of the work of Fabrizio Mangoni. The bookcase is in beautiful vintage condition, with minor signs of age and use, including a few slightly warped slats. See less
