This glazed ceramic cachepot, dating from the mid-20th century, immerses us directly in the artistic expertise of the Alsace region. Its generous, rounded shape is highlighted by a vibrant and deep emerald green glaze. The engraved decoration plays on elegant contrasts: a geometric frieze of interlocking triangles, chevrons, and textured plant motifs combined with a superb black and green raised grid reminiscent of graphic braiding.

Its historical tidbit: The underside of the base bears the hand-painted inscription "Au Pichet de Strasbourg." This inscription refers to the renowned Strasbourg arts and crafts center of the time, for which prestigious local manufacturers—such as the Elchinger company in Soufflenheim—produced these exclusive decorative pieces.

The piece is in good condition; a small chip in the glaze is visible on the edge. The planter is signed on the bottom "Au Pichet de Strasbourg".
