As a pioneer in the furniture industry, Cassina is synonymous worldwide with the perfect symbiosis of craftsmanship and forward-thinking design. with the LC 4, you bring home one of the most famous chaise longues in design history. Designed in 1928 by Le Corbusier together with Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, it is still considered the quintessential "machine for relaxation." Its design language follows the same functionalism as the modernism of the 1920s: eliminating the superfluous and revealing the pure structure. The curved frame made of chrome-plated tubular steel follows the contours of the body. The lying surface in brown and white spotted fur and the neck roll in black leather create a striking contrast of materials. The real highlight is the sliding mechanism: the chaise longue frame rests loosely on the black base and can be moved. This allows you to adjust the tilt continuously, from an upright reading position to an almost horizontal resting position. Design: Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, Charlotte Perriand, 1928. Sliding function: Tilt continuously adjustable by sliding the frame.
