This is a Zeus Noto ‘Platform’ stool. Designed by Maurizio Peregalli in 1996, this stool is a post-modern Memphis movement influenced sculptural marvel.
Its base, made of tubular and sheet metal painted in black is curvy, modern, edgy and simply fabulous. This particular piece is a collector’s item, no longer produced and impossible to find! Particularly rare to find this in an all black version. The seat is a round cushion made of soft black polyurethane. Made in Italy.
You can use it as a stool (counter height 28” seat) or as a small table to hold a plant, sculpture or vase.
The back of the seat profile is marked “PLATFORM” with “Zeus” superimposed.
