Artisan-crafted in France, the piece has a graceful curved silhouette and richly detailed frame that makes it both functional seating and an impressive decorative statement.

The solid beechwood frame displays the characteristic corbeille form, with softly rounded lines and balanced neoclassical proportions. It has been professionally refinished in a warm antique-gold finish, highlighting the depth of the carving and giving the piece a refined, softly aged appearance.

The crest is especially decorative, featuring finely sculpted putti surrounded by elaborate acanthus leaves and floral ornamentation. Additional sculpted figures are incorporated into the arms, adding an unusual artistic quality and making the settee distinctive from more conventional Louis XVI Revival seating.

The upholstery has been professionally renewed in rich deep-blue velvet. The generously padded seat features elegant tufting for both comfort and visual depth. Traditional cane panels decorate the backrest on either side of a central upholstered medallion, creating an elegant combination of carved wood, woven cane and textile.
