This elegant early 1900s French Louis XVI–style salon set consists of one substantial corbeille sofa and two matching bergère armchairs. Handcrafted in France from solid beechwood, the coordinated three-piece suite combines classical neoclassical carving, genuine gold-leaf finishes and luxurious blue-green velvet upholstery.
The frames feature characteristic Louis XVI details, including fluted legs, carved floral motifs, rosettes and graceful architectural proportions. They were professionally refinished several years ago in genuine gold leaf, enhancing the carved decoration while allowing a softly aged patina to remain visible.
The complete set has been recently reupholstered in rich blue-green velvet, a sophisticated tone that can appear slightly more blue or green depending on the surrounding light. Tufted upholstery provides texture and comfortable support.
Decorative scenic panels add an especially distinctive element. The sofa features an elegant ballroom gathering scene, while the armchairs display romantic compositions of couples dancing in a garden setting, complementing the historic French character of the suite.

Very good antique condition with natural age-related wear consistent with furniture dating to the early 1900s.
The frames were professionally refinished several years ago and retain an attractive aged gold-leaf patina with light marks and surface variation. The blue-green velvet upholstery has been recently renewed and is clean and well presented.
All three pieces are solid, stable, comfortable and ready for use.
