Set of four vintage melamine snack/salad bowls (model "Max") by Massimo Vignelli for Heller from the original Hellerware system of stacking dishes (ca. early 1970s, USA).
Stylish, functional set in an attractive array of colors - two tangerine, one pink, one purple, whose ability to be stacked saves cupboard space.
This line of stackable dinnerware won the Compasso d'Oro for good design in 1964 and is featured in the permanent collection of The Museum of Modern Art. Further, in 2003 Massimo and Lella Vignelli received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum.
Very good, vintage condition with light scuffs to the interiors, as shown. Retains the original price tag to the underside of one of the tangerine bowls.
