The "Kermes" case is a dramatic piece featuring a black ash wood veneered case surrounding a powder blue interior and standing on slender legs. The lacquered interior contains a vertical divider and shelves to create four cubbies or compartments of varying sizes. The case sits atop four slender tapered ash wood legs splayed outwards, giving the case a suspended, floating appearance. The black exterior creates a crisp modern contrast against the pale interior. The versatile piece is designed as a modern take on 1960s Mid-Century Modern style, and is well-suited for use as a sideboard, bookcase, display cabinet, or storage. From an estate in Berkeley, CA.
