The piece features a rich, vibrant palette, with the lower body and head rendered in bright blue enamel and intricately decorated with colorful, wire-outlined floral and scrolling vine motifs.

The domed shell is particularly detailed: it is covered in a deep green geometric pattern of hexagonal "scales," each containing a stylized red and yellow flower. A prominent, circular Yin-Yang symbol is inlaid at the center of the shell, formed from contrasting black and white scales. The border of the shell is decorated with a band of swirling, stylized blue and white waves. The turtle's head, legs, and tail are made of polished, gold-toned metal (likely brass), with the head and neck featuring fine, engraved scale details.

A recessed rectangular seal containing four characters is visible on the flat underside of the base. This heavy, eye-catching piece serves as a stunning decorative accent for a shelf, desk, or collector's cabinet, symbolizing longevity and good fortune. See less
