Up for sale is an authentic, highly collectible Postmodern console / sofa table manufactured by the Design Institute America (DIA) in 1992. This architecturally striking piece beautifully exemplifies the sleek, mixed-metal aesthetic popularized by Milo Baughman for DIA in the late 20th century. It features a stunning two-tone frame consisting of heavy-gauge tubular gunmetal steel pillars offset by brilliant, polished solid brass decorative collars and feet.
The top accommodates a thick pane of pristine, inset beveled glass that beautifully highlights the sweeping, curved arch H-form lower stretcher bar assembly beneath. This table maintains its original factory production label on the interior frame rail ("© DESIGN INSTITUTE AMERICA, INC. 1992") alongside its unique registry model sequence number 78790.
Perfect as an entry foyer focal piece, an elegant statement behind a floating living room sofa, or styled underneath fine art.
