The top consists of 6 long tongue and groove pine planks, whose rich patina combines with their woodgrain to create a nicely varied surface. Across the tabletop, we can see rows of tiny wooden pegs used to secure the top to the lower frame. The oak support is made with chamfered corners and an H-form stretcher running the length of the table to provide added support. In the joinery of the base, we find even more pegs inserted into the wood, which add a charming hand-made touch to the piece. This table is suitable for a range of design styles and can comfortably accommodate 8-10 sitters. Gently cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, ready for use in your interiors. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
