It is titled "Navajo Wild Land" and signed Matthew Diamond '73. The work beautifully blends mid-century modern aesthetics with the evocative, sweeping scale of the American Southwest. Its layered, organic style captures the dramatic atmospheric qualities, mesas, and color palettes of the Navajo Nation’s high desert landscapes. This large painting would look exceptional in a mid-century modern, desert modern or desert chic spaces.

There are a few areas with age related craquelure, fine cracks in the paint. These appear flat and stable. There is also a very small 3/8" tear in the upper area of the painting and is barely noticeable.
