The curved backs and the rich burgundy seats show the streamlined glamour of the period. Art Deco emerged in the 1920s and reached its height in the 1930s, a confident modern style of geometry, rich woods and fine craftsmanship that celebrated the age of the machine without abandoning luxury. A natural patina has developed over the decades, adding depth that cannot be reproduced. Placed in a living room, library or bedroom, it offers comfort with real presence and sits happily alongside both antique and modern pieces. See less
