The bleached finish and the simple bronze handles give it a quiet, modern clarity. Art Deco emerged in the 1920s and reached its height in the 1930s, a confident modern style of geometry, rich woods and fine craftsmanship that celebrated the age of the machine without abandoning luxury. Signs of age are consistent with its years and part of its quiet appeal. A piece of this kind earns its place through use, offering storage and presence in equal measure. See less
