The asymmetric upper section gives it a strongly architectural British mid-century appearance. The fall front opens to create a generous writing or laptop surface with storage compartments behind. At only 93 cm wide and 39 cm deep when closed, it is particularly practical for a London flat or smaller home where a permanent desk would occupy too much floor space. Details British manufacture by A Younger, circa 1960s Teak construction and veneers Asymmetric open display shelving Fall-front writing bureau with internal storage Double-door lower cupboard Geometric panelled doors and original ring handles Dimensions Width: 93 cm Depth closed: 39 cm Height: 152 cm Overall depth open: 74 cm Condition Good vintage condition with light surface marks, scratches, small knocks and finish variation. The bureau mechanism and supporting stays are present, and the teak retains an attractive warm grain. See less
