rare bench, designed by niels o. Møller and manufactured by j.l. Møllers møbelfabrik in denmark in the 1960s. Møller is one of the great names of the golden age of danish furniture design. Unlike many of his contemporaries, he didn't come from art school, but from a craft background – and it is precisely this uncompromising attention to detail that characterizes his designs to this day. Benches by him are rarely found on the vintage market.

the frame is made of solid teak, whose warm color and vibrant grain accentuate the clean, minimalist lines. The tops of the legs are characteristically shaped, echoing the design language of møller's well-known model 77 chair. Cross braces connect the legs on the short sides, while a teak support runs directly beneath the woven fabric along the long sides – a beautiful contrast between the warm wood and the light paper cord. The seat has been expertly re-woven with new paper cord using traditional hand-weaving techniques. The bench is ideal as a dining bench, in the hallway, at the foot of the bed, or as a side table in the living room. The teak wood has been completely refinished, and all joints have been inspected. The bench is sturdy and ready for immediate use.
