It is of very fine quality, and is solid wood throughout. Each half sits on a pedestal tripod base with reeded legs and brass hairy paw casters. This come with two additional leaves which extends the top from a six seater into a 10 seater. The leaves rest on removable runners that give extra stability. The top may have been trimmed down at the inside edges at some point, the table must be used with either one leaf or with two leaves. It cannot be used with no leaves, as the feet bump together at the base.

Recently re-polished, there are some old marks and bumps that remain beneath the polish here and there. Overall this is in excellent condition for its age and has a gorgeous patina.
