Drawing inspiration from the ancient guldhøj burial mound, where a similar bronze age stool was discovered, this piece exemplifies the merging of historical reference with modern functionalism. Crafted from solid teak, the frame displays a rich reddish-brown hue with a finely finished surface that reveals the natural grain and warmth of the wood. The craftsmanship is evident in the precise joinery and the elegant tapering of the legs, which are gently curved and organically shaped. These sculptural legs provide both stability and visual lightness, emphasizing hundevad’s mastery in working with wood to achieve both strength and aesthetic refinement.
