The composition presents a tranquil snow-covered village viewed through a rhythmic row of tall, leafless tree trunks, creating a striking interplay of vertical forms against the softly rolling landscape beyond.

Nestled among the snowy hills are several farmhouses with steep roofs, their warm tones providing subtle contrast to the restrained palette of cool greys, blues, and whites. The atmospheric treatment of the sky and distant countryside reflects De Saedeleer's renowned ability to capture the quiet poetry and contemplative beauty of the Flemish landscape.

The print bears the artist's signature within the image at the lower left and is presented behind a grey linen mount in a wooden frame that complements the subdued elegance of the composition. The decorative framing enhances the print's timeless character, making it an attractive addition to both traditional and contemporary interiors.

Valerius De Saedeleer (1867-1941) is widely regarded as one of Belgium's most important landscape artists, celebrated for his stylized depictions of the Flemish countryside and evocative winter scenes.
